 TEACHING

I’ve taught acting and performance classes at Indiana University, Cardinal Stage, the Bloomington Academy of Film and Theatre, Hedgerow Theatre, and Stages Bloomington.
I’ve taught classes including scene study, Shakespeare performance technique, and the fundamentals. I’ve also taught collaborative playwriting to children.
My students have ranged from first graders to retirees, and from college majors to hobbyists.

Having a really “polished” scene or monologue by the final class session doesn’t matter if you can’t replicate those results on your own after the class is over. I’m more interested in using the scene as a “learning laboratory” for the development and application of tools that my students can take with them.
